Every Princess Deserves A Castle

In my next organization step I came across this book. It is old. It is tattered. It used to belong to the library. Picking it up instantly transported me back into the beautiful memory of how this book came to be in my possession.

I was working on a writing project at the table one afternoon when someone dear to my heart arrived. He sheepishly asked me to close my eyes and put out my hands. I remember the coolness of the cover against my palms as he placed the book into them. He then told me I could open my eyes. There was this book and his face in a gigantic grin. "I saw this at the library sale and I knew you had to have it..." he stated. Just as I opened this exquisite pop up that revealed 3D castles, knights of the round table, and other glorious pop ups of royal medieval activities, he continued. "...Because all princesses deserve to have their very own castle."

And that is how this crazy adventurous princess, who used to keep a cheap plastic tiara in her car for when she felt pretty, needed a drive-thru hamburger at McDonald's, or just wanted to combat a bit of road rage, eventually became the proud owner of her very own Castle. ♡♡♡
